Welcome to the GameTimeCT Athlete of the Week where we look to honor student-athletes from across Connecticut each week during the high school sports seasons.
Each week, the GameTimeCT staff will select five athletes competing in boys high school sports and five competing in girls sports as finalists. We will then turn the process over to the fans to vote for who they think should win the title of GameTimeCT Athlete of the Week. Voting will begin Tuesday morning and close Thursday night at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced each Friday by around noon.
She made six saves in a 3-0 win over Avon in the opening round of the Class M field hockey state tournament and also helped lead the Tigers to a 3-2 win over Simsbury in the quarterfinals.

The senior setter amassed 44 assists, 14 digs and seven aces when the No. 11 Eagles won at No. 3 Simsbury 3-1 in the Class LL second round. She also had 30 assists, six aces, four kills and five blocks in an opening-round shutout of West Haven. She had 39 assists and three aces in the team’s 3-0 quarterfinal win over McMahon.

Scoring When it Counts
Carr scored twice in the Blue Knights’ 6-0 win over Naugatuck and added two more in a 4-0 second-round win over Trumbull.

State Title Dives
The senior won the CIAC Class S diving championship with a score of 375.90, edging defending champion and teammate Cali Mandell, who scored 359.70.
