Welcome to the GameTimeCT Athlete of the Week where we look to honor student-athletes from across Connecticut each week during the high school sports seasons.
Each week, the GameTimeCT staff will select five athletes competing in boys high school sports and five competing in girls sports as finalists. We will then turn the process over to the fans to vote for who they think should win the title of GameTimeCT Athlete of the Week. Voting will begin Tuesday morning and close Thursday night at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced each Friday by around noon.
Won four medals (1st 200 free, 500 free, 400 free relay, 2nd 200 medley relay), and broke the CCC South meet record, along with the Bristol Co-Op team record in the 500 free (4:41.78).

New England Title and Undefeated Season
The senior captured a New England championship in the 195-pound final in Providence (RI). Gilchrist was unbeaten this season and also won FCIAC, Class LL and State Open titles.

The senior won his fourth consecutive FCIAC diving championship with a score of 560.00 at Thursday’s finals.

Scored 31 points to help East Catholic defeat Platt 90-44 in the CCC tournament semifinals. Reilly scored 32 points in the CCC tournament final, a 78-64 win over Bloomfield.

The senior won his second straight New England championship with a 4-0 record in this weekend in Providence (RI). He defeated Jason Hood of Ponaganset (RI) 3-1 in the final.
