Welcome to the GameTimeCT Athlete of the Week where we look to honor student-athletes from across Connecticut each week during the high school sports seasons.
Each week, the GameTimeCT staff will select five athletes competing in boys high school sports and five competing in girls sports as finalists. We will then turn the process over to the fans to vote for who they think should win the title of GameTimeCT Athlete of the Week. Voting will begin Tuesday morning and close Thursday night at 11:59 p.m. Winners will be announced each Friday by around noon.
Ran for a first-quarter touchdown, caught Alex Phipps’ 61-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and added another rushing touchdown before halftime, then took the second-half kickoff back 91 yards for the Cougars’ last score of a 35-7 win over the Coventry co-op.

Caught seven passes for 108 yards and ran for four short touchdowns in a 51-20 win over Capital Prep/Achievement First.

The wide receiver caught eight passes for 237 yards in a 26-24 loss to East Hartford. Coiro’s performance paved the way for quarterback Patrick Matyczyk’s school-record 349 passing yards.
